About us

Margaret and I opened Oura & Ivy five years ago, fueled by nothing but a shared vision and a lot of strong tea. We’d spent years dreaming of a shop that didn't feel like a cold chain store, so we poured everything into this space—from the reclaimed timber shelving to the soft, warm lighting that makes the boutique feel like a home away from home.

We wanted the store to be a destination, a place where you could escape the rush of the high street and actually enjoy the experience of browsing. I still remember the day we finally hung the gold-leaf sign over the door; we stood on the pavement in the drizzle, just staring at it. Today, Oura & Ivy is exactly what we imagined: a beautifully curated space where the layout flows as naturally as the conversations we have with our regulars. It’s been five years of hard work, but every time I walk through those doors, I’m proud of the atmosphere we’ve built.
